First of all compare various available options. Visit college fairs. There is always plenty of booths and tables of different credit card companies. There are some applications and fliers available around campus. Online search is also rather effective. Pay attention that the cards should be specifically for students. Credit history criteria and student card’s score are more lenient and have a low rate of interest.

Try to find the card with the best terms. Credit cards are not equal. Probably student credit card is the first credit card in your life, so you’ll meet a new jargon. The longer the grace period is the better. It’s advisable to have no annual fee. Payment fee should be late and low.

When the choice is made, fill the application form. Any way is o.k. – either online, paper or telephone applications. Answer the questions. Reveal your name, phone number and current address. You’ll have to submit information about your school. Sometimes bank accounts are also asked.
